As a musician, I often wonder what it would have been like to have lived in the "Golden Age of Radio" and been a radio organist for a major station or network. To get a feel for this first hand, I have worked with present day re-enactment groups who recreate old radio shows. Here is what I think it would have sounded like had I been given an opportunity to be a network organist on a couple of major shows that people might remember from that era..

Closing theme from WLW's Moon River Program (Caprice Venois) by Fritz Kreisler, with my apologies to the late Lee Erwin (or was it Fats Waller?)

And here is my impression of the late Paul Carson playing the theme from the long running NBC radio serial "One Man's Family".

AEOLIAN ROLL PLAYER FILES PLAYED ON THE DEMAJO RESIDENCE ORGAN
The following files are generated from original Aeolian Residence Organ rolls, converted to Midi and run through the Artisan relay on my Wurlitzer. All of the sounds you hear in these recordings, were made live with microphones placed in the stairwell outside of the pipe chamber in my home installation. The piano and all effects are in the chamber which is behind a swell-shade opening into the upstairs hallway.
