CENTENARY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
411 East Grace St., Richmond, VA. 23219
An interesting sidelight to this organ: The installation crew from Casavant was on the way to Richmond to install this organ when the plane they were on from JFK to Richmond crashed, killing all 84 on board. The pilot though he was on a head-on collision course with another plane, when he actually wasn't, and quickly turned the plane and pushed down on the controls. Being only two minutes after takeoff, there was not enough altitude to recover and the plane crashed into the Atlantic. (Information provided by a viewer of the site)
